How can we help?
In 1888 William Furneaux declared that this community needed a cemetery and donated a portion of his property for that sole goal. Since that time Furneaux Cemetery "Cemetery Hill" has provided a peaceful resting place for those in the surrounding communities. Once in the country but now soundly imbedded in the suburbs of Carrollton, we continue the tradition of being a place where families can come and pay their final respects for the many generations that have come before them. We hope that we can help your family as well at your time of need.
Pre-planning
It is never too early to discuss pre-planning for your place of rest. In the past, it was commonplace for families to purchase many sites for generations to come. We are still fulfilling the wishes of families in sites that were reserved by their great-grandparents! Currently prices for sites in Furneaux Cemetery are $4000.00 for a site for one person. Sites for two are $7000.00. Feel free to contact us if you are interested in pre-arrangements.

Road Construction
The City of Carrollton is upgrading Cemetery Hill Road between the two sides of Furneaux Cemetery. The road is to be lowered, widened, and proper drainage installed. This will likely correct the occasional standing water issues in the cemetery. During this construction, access to the cemetery will be reduced. We have been promised that access will always be available but it will likely be an issue for several months. Please note that the East side of the Cemetery should remain accessible via the Rosemeade entrance. Please be patient during this time.

Decoration Day - CANCELLED DUE TO ROAD CONSTRUCTION
A tradition across the South! It is a traditional day to come visit your family sites in remembrance. Please attend at 2:30 pm and meet our volunteer board for information about the cemetery and the traditional reading of the names of those who have been interred in our cemetery over the last year.
