How can we help?
In 1888 William Furneaux declared that this community needed a cemetery and donated a portion of his property for that sole goal. Since that time Furneaux Cemetery "Cemetery Hill" has provided a peaceful resting place for those in the surrounding communities. Once in the country but now soundly imbedded in the suburbs of Carrollton, we continue the tradition of being a place where families can come and pay their final respects for the many generations that have come before them. We hope that we can help your family as well at your time of need.
It is never too early to discuss pre-planning for your place of rest. In the past, it was commonplace for families to purchase many sites for generations to come. We are still fulfilling the wishes of families in sites that were reserved by their great-grandparents! Feel free to contact us if you are interested in pre-arrangements.
We are available by phone 24 hours a day

We have had many calls regarding the frequent standing water and site damage in the cemetery. Please know that since October 2018 our region has experienced extremely wet conditions that have not had adequate time to dry. October saw upwards of 30 inches of rain in this area alone. Entering the cemetery with heavy equipment at this time will make the situation worse as even when appearing dry on the surface, the ground below is still extremely wet. We hope to make repairs during the usual summer dry spell.

A tradition across the South! It is a traditional day to come visit your family sites in remembrance. Please attend at 2:30 pm and meet our volunteer board for information about the cemetery and the traditional reading of the names of those who have been interred in our cemetery over the last year. If raining, decoration day will be rescheduled for May 17th.
